pleased the LORD to bless Israel

speech pleased the Lord

"And the speech pleased ( 'ayin) the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness

"Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar." (Psa 51:18-19 KJV)

pleased the LORD to bruise him

"Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand." (Isa 53:10 KJV)

in whom I am well pleased

pleased not himself

"We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. pleased God by the foolishness of preaching

"For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." (1 Cor 1:19-21 KJV)

God was not well pleased

as it hath pleased him

it pleased the Father

Enoch... pleased God

without faith it is impossible to please him

such sacrifices God is well pleased
