BARREL PLUGS

Barrel plugs are a second safety precaution
used at paintball field other than a mask.
It is a piece of plastic stuffed into the barrel so that when a paintball
is shot the barrel plug breaks the ball, and doesn't allow the ball to
travel out of the barrel. The purpose of a barrel plug is to stop
a ball that was unintentionally shoot. While not playing or if a player
is "hit" barrel plugs are usually required to be in the barrel.
This is important because if a game is over and people take their masks
off a paintball could accidentally put someone's eye out. Unfortunately
if a ball does get shot with the barrel plug in, it leaves a mess in your
barrel. Barrel plugs are inexpensive costing only three dollars.
