__Wear long clothing to protect your skin from briars, trees, and paintballs.
    Camouflage is an advantage when playing outdoors, or at least wear dark
    clothes.
__Wear shoes with a lot of traction such as baseball cleats, running shoes or hiking
    boots.   No shoes that you hate to get dirty!
__Bring a snack like a granola bars and a drink.  Fields often sell these, but if you
    have them in the kitchen it would be cheaper and quicker than buying them at
    the field.
__Bring some money.  Between $40-75, or enough to rent equipment and buy
    300-500 paintballs.
__Be sure to call the field ahead of time to find out prices and to make sure that it
    isn't closed for a special occasion (tournament).  Also find out when you should
    arrive for in order to rent a gun and hear the field's instructions (usually given
    before the first game).
__Bring a friend.  Not absolutely necessary, but playing with a buddy makes
    paintball a lot more fun.
