HOPPERS

The hopper is what holds all the paintballs that are shot.  It can hold anywhere from 150-300 rounds depending on the player's preference.  Some hoppers are motorized so that the ball firing rate is increased from the normal rate of 2-4 balls per second.  A motorized hopper also keeps balls from breaking.  This is because if a marker shoots faster than balls can drop all the way down into the gun, the ball will be chopped.  A chopped or broken ball is bad because paint gets in the barrel and sometimes in the marker which can mess up the accuracy of a marker or prevent it from firing.
