St. John's University tithes monthly to various projects which nourish people in mind, body and spirit.
St. John's University dedicates a portion of its financial resources into a special fund which is designated to reducing our national debt, which at this printing is approximately 5.7 trillion dollars ($5,700,000,000,000). Our national debt is growing at more than 687 million dollars a day. This trend must be reversed. St. John's University funds go directly to reducing debt principle.
St. John's University, formerly of St. John's, Missouri, was incorporated in
1969 and was designed to offer the serious student, regardless of nationality, religious preference, gender, age or racial background, an opportunity to pursue
their education through home-study.
St. John's University's graduations are held at the historical Presbyterian
Church of Hammond, Louisiana which is shown to the right.
St. John's University was the first fully accredited University in the
United States to offer Associate, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degrees totally
through external studies. St. John's University fulfills all requirements of
the Louisiana Board of Education and the Louisiana Board of Regents.
Many students have been fully reimbursed for their St. John's University
tuition. Reimbursing corporations include the United States Department of
Defense, McDonnell Douglas, Upjohn Pharmaceutical, Nissan Manufacturing, Shell
Oil, Occidental Oil, and Wackenhut Services.
Various police departments and health care facilities across the country
have reimbursed St. John's University tuition to their personnel. Various
corporations have received a tax deduction when matching funds are donated by
Alumni to St. John's University.
