Loneliness
There is an old song that says, "I'am so lonesome I could cry." Does that describe you? It doesn't have to!
God has provided us "church." God's church is simply a "crippled community." John Stott said, "The very purpose of Christ's self-giving on the cross was not just to save isolated individuals and perpetuate their loneliness, but to create a new community whose members would belong to Him, love one another and eagerly serve the world." We are all just one winged angels and only by holding to each other will we ever be able to fly. It is amazing what a bunch of one winged angels can do while holding on to each other and to Jesus.
Eccles 4:9-12 states "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up! But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.'
We, at Westchurch, want you to realize that God cares for you. He has put us together as a caring community of imperfect believers and we would love to share in this community with you.
